Read.md does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your files never leave your device.

Analytics

Read.md uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as which features are used (e.g. search, table of contents, theme switching) and general app interaction patterns. This helps us improve the app.

• Analytics data is anonymous — no personal information, file names, or file content is collected
• No advertising identifiers or user tracking across apps
• Data is processed by Google Firebase in accordance with Google's privacy policy

What we don't do

• No account or login required
• No tracking or advertising
• No file content is read, transmitted, or stored outside your device
• No data is shared with third parties beyond anonymous analytics

Local data

All files are processed entirely on your device. Read.md stores your preferences (theme, font size) and a list of recently opened files locally using standard platform storage. This data stays on your device.
